He stated this at a meeting with members of the Council on Judicial Reform on Wednesday, October 29, he reports press office.
“I am pleased that my political force won a convincing victory - the faction will have more than 130 deputies. But today we should not celebrate, but finally begin reforms,” Poroshenko said.
The President also noted that it is important to immediately begin the work of the newly elected Verkhovna Rada and form a coalition and government. “I am confident that we will very quickly create a coalition, that the coalition will be united by principles and values. In the near future, immediately after the formation of the coalition, it is necessary to propose to the Verkhovna Rada a package of laws and new rules that will allow us to build a system that society and the world will trust,” Poroshenko said. He also emphasized the responsibility of the future members of the coalition, the new government, for the implementation of the reform course and for the adoption of a number of urgent bills.
As PolitNavigator reported, experts believe that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko actually lost the election campaign. Note that exit polls gave the Poroshenko Bloc 23%, and the Popular Front about 20-21%. At the same time, the latter’s headquarters believes that will take the lead after votes are counted and protocols are processed... Data "Pillars" also confirms the latter statement.
The head of the Institute of Political Studies, Sergei Markov, is convinced that the new convocation of the Verkhovna Rada will be completely controlled by the United States, which rigged the elections, attributing 12% to the Popular Front of Arseniy Yatsenyuk. This was done to resume the war in Donbass in the interests of the United States, the expert believes.
