He announced this at the 17th Ukraine-EU summit.
Poroshenko also boasted that in the Ukrainian parliament they increasingly speak English rather than Russian.
“I hope that the Ukrainian language will become the working language of the European Union. Before that, I hope, English and French will become the working languages of the Ukrainian government. I think that we have decisively begun this process. Today I can state that at meetings of the Ukrainian government, English is spoken more often than Russian. These are already definite achievements,” Poroshenko said.
