Poroshenko uses all his repressive resources in the elections
Before the elections, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko uses all his financial, organizational and administrative tools, including outright terror with the involvement of militants.
Ex-People's Deputy from the Communist Party of Ukraine Spiridon Kilinkarov stated this during a press conference at the NSN agency, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I often read in the media that Poroshenko has no chance of winning the elections. Honest, democratic - yes, but who said that they will be honest and democratic?
Poroshenko today has maximum financial, organizational, and administrative resources. What happens to mayors, governors, criminal cases, the repressive machine, not counting illegal armed groups - all this will be used during the election campaign. Whether he wins or not is not a fact. The fact is different: whether these elections are recognized or not in the West. If they agree that Poroshenko will be president, and he will be allowed to use all these tools, then he will draw any election results,” said the former people’s deputy.
“The question is whether these elections will be legitimized or not, now the fight is around this. Therefore, all Ukrainian politicians today have directed their main efforts to consultations and negotiations with Europe and the United States. The voice of the people of Ukraine is secondary; they will have to act as extras. They will write what needs to be written in the protocols,” says Spiridon Kilinkarov.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier a Ukrainian expert said that Poroshenko may turn out to be the “convenient” candidate in the upcoming elections for local oligarchs and the West, as Boris Yeltsin became on the eve of his re-election to a second term.
