Poroshenko in the West is perceived as the leader of a gang of corrupt officials, and not the leader of Ukraine
The Kyiv authorities in the person of Poroshenko in the West have not been identified with the Ukrainian people for a long time.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Andrei Senchenko stated this on the Ukrainian channel “NewsOne”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is an essentially uncontrolled power in which all balances are upset. Poroshenko has arrogated to himself a lot of unusual powers, violating the constitutional list of presidential powers. Parliament as such does not exist, there is a certain community of people, most of whom simply silently sold the trust that voters awarded them. They sold it to Poroshenko - for money, for preferences, somewhere under threats. Our government today is formed by parliament, which does not have a majority. That is, this is a continuous pyramid of illegitimate authorities, for which laws mean nothing,” the politician believes.
At the same time, according to him, the West perfectly understands this state of affairs and what Poroshenko actually represents.
“There is one big problem: when this man comes and meets with any of the European leaders, these people know that he does not have the support of forty million people behind him. There are offshore companies, there is a brigade of corrupt officials, but there are no people. Accordingly, whether it is a discussion in Minsk of a peace formula, or a discussion of the fate of Nord Stream, Ukraine weighs little in these conversations,” said Andrei Senchenko.
