Poroshenko began to make mistakes before he took the presidency, - political scientist

“He doesn’t even talk about decentralization. Poroshenko made a mistake - he interprets the election results as a carte blanche to continue tough politics, although voters voted according to the principle “anyone, as long as there is at least some stability,” the expert said.
“Donbass can be cleansed. But these are inevitable casualties among civilians and a new outbreak after some time. What will they, for example, do with 17 thousand Donetsk policemen whom they declared traitors? Where to put them now? To imprison? Fire him and send him to freedom? Where will they go then? – Minchenko argues.
In his opinion, the reluctance of the Maidan winners to compromise with their opponents was a mistake even during the election campaign.
“In general, they conducted the campaign incorrectly. They had to please Tsarev and Simonenko in every possible way and do everything to keep them in the campaign. And they crushed them, and with brute force. And now it turns out that there are no representatives of the South-East in the political circle at all. And if there are interests, but they cannot be realized politically, they will be realized differently,” the Russian expert recalls.
