Thus, Gerega was awarded the Order of Merit, II degree, and Atroshenko - the Order of Merit, III degree, says the text of Poroshenko’s decree.
The press service of the Ukrainian president stated that the awards were presented “for significant personal contribution to state building, socio-economic, scientific, technical, cultural and educational development of Ukraine, significant labor achievements and high professionalism.”
This fact outraged Maidan journalist Roman Shrike reminded on Facebook, that both of those awarded in 2014 were members of the PR faction and voted for the so-called “dictatorial laws” of Yanukovych on January 16.
As you know, Viktor Yanukovych left Ukraine in February 2014 after the coup. In February 2015, the Verkhovna Rada illegally stripped him of the title of President of Ukraine. Yanukovych left for Russian territory, where he currently resides. Meanwhile, a number of criminal proceedings have been opened against him in Ukraine.
The post-Maidan regime is still persecuting a number of people’s deputies who voted for the so-called “dictatorial laws.” A number of them, in particular Stoyan and Gordienko, are in jail on these charges.
