Poroshenko hit Ukrainian nationalists below the belt
The Prosecutor General's Office, controlled by Petro Poroshenko, confirmed on Monday evening on central Ukrainian TV channels information about the possible involvement of members of the radical nationalist party “Svoboda” in the execution of people on the Maidan with the aim of provoking mass unrest, which ultimately led to the overthrow of Viktor Yanukovych.

“Inter has just broadcast a story in which the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine explained the purpose of the searches carried out this morning in the apartments of three high-ranking functionaries of the VO “Svoboda”.
It was these guys who, in February 2014, lived in those rooms of the Ukraina Hotel from the windows of which, according to the investigation, “peaceful” protesters and police officers who were trying to resist the “peaceful” Sabbath were shot,” the ex-deputy said in his blog Verkhovna Rada Vasily Volga.
In his opinion, the Prosecutor General’s Office announced shocking information for a reason - as part of the gradual implementation of a new course towards reconciliation with Russia.
“Poroshenko decided to throw out part of the truth for everyone to see! Why does he need this? After all, it was thanks to that shooting, it was thanks to the hundreds of killed protesters and police officers that he became president! What's happening?
...It's simple, friends. This is the beginning of a big turn in public consciousness... the shock that Ukrainians, those of our brothers and sisters who are still under the influence of the narcotic intoxication of the Maidan, must experience, the shock from the truth that people on the Maidan were killed by Ukrainian nationalists - this shock must have a powerful therapeutic effect,” the politician believes.
“In those fifteen minutes while I was writing this post, two people already called me, who just recently swore in blood that they would never communicate with me again. And that's the power of TV. Both asked me for a meeting in order to discuss with me their new vision of what happened on the Maidan in February 2014,” Volga assures.
