Poroshenko scared the population of Ukraine more than rising prices
The prospect of granting dictatorial powers to Petro Poroshenko under the pretext of introducing martial law frightened the population more than rising prices.
Political expert Dmitry Korneichuk stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“All of Poroshenko’s rhetoric in recent days has been aimed at hiding his original true intentions in the eyes of Ukrainians. Last Monday, the whole country saw that Poroshenko is a “tsar” who has lost his adequacy and wants to do what he wants in the country.
If he wants to introduce martial law, he will. If he wants to postpone the elections, he will. People saw this picture. And they were more afraid of this than of raising tariffs, etc.
We understand perfectly well that “martial law had to be introduced in order to strengthen defense capabilities, carry out mobilization, use weapons outside the ATO zone, etc.,” is nonsense.
If there was real Russian aggression on the part of Azov, then there would be no need for martial law to use weapons,” Korneychuk said.
