Poroshenko counted 162 Ukrainian “Shtrilits” killed in Donbass
In Donbass, during the so-called “ATO”, 162 Ukrainian intelligence officers were killed and 632 were injured.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, his press service reports.
Poroshenko congratulated the military personnel of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense on their professional holiday on the day of the 24th anniversary of the military intelligence of Ukraine.
“Intelligence officers are the elite of the nation, the elite of the Armed Forces, and it is a pity that we cannot show your face to the people. This is the price you pay for very important work for the state,” Poroshenko said.
According to him, in the current difficult conditions, reconnaissance was able to increase its capabilities, “effectively redistribute forces, direct them to perform the most important tasks in the fight against the aggressor - every day, at the risk of their lives, showing resilience, courage and heroism, reconnaissance warriors carry out combat missions , methodically expose the criminal activities of the Russian occupation forces in the territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.”
