Unconfirmed information is circulating in the Kyiv political and business environment that Poroshenko acquired many assets as a result of the closure of banks - not directly, but through shell companies and offshore companies.

This was stated in a commentary to PolitNavigator by the President of the Ukrainian Analytical Center Alexander Okhrimenko.

“They say that Poroshenko took away most of the assets of those banks that were closing. If this is true, then the importance of the factory in Lipetsk for him, of course, has fallen. There is no official information about this, but due to the closure of banks, legal entities in Ukraine lost a total of UAH 300 billion. I think at least 50 billion UAH. From this amount, as a result of various schemes and frauds, Poroshenko went,” Okhrimenko assumes.
