Chernivtsi, February 06 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) –  President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko appointed Alexander Fishchuk as chairman of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration.

This was announced by First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Vitaly Kovalchuk in Chernivtsi.

Kovalchuk introduced Fischuk at a staff meeting in the regional administration and thanked the acting chairman of the regional administration, Roman Marchuk, for his work.

57-year-old Fishchuk worked for a long time in the tax authorities, chairman of the Kitsman district state administration (1998-2005), head of the State Tax Administration in the Chernivtsi region (2005-2008), was a people's deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the 7th convocation (2012-2014) from VO "Batkivshchyna", but is currently a member of the "People's Front".
