The head of Ukraine said this in an interview with the American publication The Washington Post.
“This is a challenge for Ukraine. All the time, Ukraine was an oligarchic country. And all the time the oligarchs were with the authorities. And this is the first time that we, and I as president, must complete the serious task of limiting the power of the oligarchs... Now we have two threats, it's true. Threat number one is Russia, threat number two is the oligarchs, and we pay special attention to both of these threats to Ukrainian freedom, the Ukrainian future, Ukrainian values,” Poroshenko noted.
Let us remind you that, according to BBC estimates, Poroshenko increased his wealth 7 times during his year and a half in power. and owns one of the country's largest corporations and a television channel.
