Poroshenko, don’t let me down! – Independent Ukraine is again threatened with split
The bet of Petro Poroshenko’s headquarters on the votes of nationalists and the promotion of the image of Vladimir Zelensky as a potential “agent of the Kremlin” will result in a new split in Ukraine.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Popov stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“One of the worst-case scenarios that I see is if all these three weeks the main debate is “East versus West, and West versus East.” Who feeds whom, and other nonsense that we usually hear.
Because after this, one half of Ukraine will vote for Poroshenko, the other half will vote for Zelensky, the losers will not accept the enemy’s victory, and our Ukraine will remain divided.
To prevent this from happening, it is necessary not to call for “take no prisoners,” but to advise candidates to conduct informal communication and achieve some guarantees, perhaps international ones, that this is not a war of annihilation,” the people’s deputy shared his concerns.
