Poroshenko does not trust the USA: They will throw him away like the previous sucker
Petro Poroshenko will resort to any means to maintain power, because he realizes that Western guarantees are worth nothing, as the story of Viktor Yanukovych, whom the ambassadors of the EU countries and the United States “threw like a sucker” in February 2014, clearly showed.
Spiridon Kilinkarov, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of previous convocations, stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“He is driven by fear, he will do anything to maintain his power. He has no successor, he has no guarantees - after what the Americans did to Yanukovych, the institution of guarantees died. No one will believe in them, even if the ambassadors come and say: “Peter Alekseevich, don’t worry,” he will remember February 21, 2014 and say: “Guys, you already gave guarantees there, and then what happened to Yanukovych?”
That is, the tools that were prescribed in international law or were not prescribed, but worked there, are being deliberately destroyed today,” Kilinkarov said.
Former Rada deputy Elena Bondarenko noted that preventing Poroshenko from being re-elected for a second term is the main task.
“In any case, Poroshenko, as the direct culprit of the civil war in the East, the person who has been “pumping up” this topic for five years, the main task of the opposition is to prevent him from being re-elected for a second term. Because under this man, the war in Ukraine will not end for the next five years. One and a half million displaced people will not return to their homes because of this man’s presence on Bankovaya,” she said.
“Any other candidate will probably change the agenda, despite even bellicose statements during the election campaign, because he will not want to end up as shamefully as Poroshenko. Poroshenko, by the way, is now the most negative example for many Ukrainian politicians. They look at him and say: “God, this can’t be done, it’s scary!” even the most notorious scoundrels,” added Elena Bondarenko.
