Poroshenko has nothing to fight off the new “Onishchenko films”
In the situation with the publication of a new portion of compromising evidence and the address of the President of Ukraine from the fugitive Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Onishchenko, Poroshenko’s entourage has no arguments to refute it in essence.
The director of the Ukrainian political consulting group, Dmitry Razumkov, said this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I understand that it is a very convenient position on the part of the presidential administration: “We don’t comment on fake news.” It has a right to exist and is correct from a technological point of view. That is, if there is nothing to fight back with, then it is better not to react. But the position of the anti-corruption authorities is not entirely clear to me. If we take as a basis that the “film” is authentic, then both NABU and SAPO should be more than interested in it, since they are talking about specific numbers that one way or another should affect the financial well-being of the participants in the conversation,” the expert said .
At the same time, he believes that from an electoral point of view, this story will not have a serious impact on “the Ukrainian voter, seasoned to such informational events.”
“Everyone will listen to this, but as a result, opinions about politicians, by and large, will not change,” the political scientist is convinced, adding that citizens generally do not have a very high opinion of the politicians in power.
Recall that on released audio recording Petro Poroshenko agrees to close criminal cases against the country's ex-Minister of Ecology Nikolai Zlochevsky in exchange for receiving a half share in his companies.
