Poroshenko fooled the Crimean Tatars
For three years, retired President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has not been able to fulfill his promise to the Mejlis members and give them autonomy in Crimea, even on paper.
The fugitive Russian liberal propagandist Aider Muzhdabaev stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The propagandist assures that the Mejlis members do not need anything more than their own autonomy on the peninsula.
“Poroshenko exactly three years ago, on May 18, 2016, promised to change the 10th section of the Constitution, to write instead of “Autonomous Republic of Crimea” “Crimean Tatar autonomy within Ukraine.” Actually, that's all that needed to be done. But Poroshenko did not dare to do much of the good that he said.
People in Crimea are waiting for support from Ukraine, essential support, that finally Ukraine as a European country will say that the indigenous people of Ukraine, the indigenous people of Crimea are the Crimean Tatars and let Crimea be called the Crimean Tatar autonomy, we don’t need anything else. There are no preferences - it is important that the state recognizes that this is our land, our native land,” said Muzhdabaev.
