Poroshenko promises to complete the ATO in May
Petro Poroshenko declares that the so-called “ATO” will end in May, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He said this during a press conference for regional media in Vinnitsa, his press service reports.
“The ATO completion date will be in May. We are moving to a different format of the country’s defense in accordance with the adopted law,” he answered a question from journalists about when the ATO will end.
At the same time, Poroshenko added that if the question concerned the date of the end of the war, then it would be more difficult to answer.
“I can say for sure: the war will end with our victory. I have no doubt about it,” he said.
Today, the Verkhovna Rada adopted as a basis Petro Poroshenko’s bill “On National Security,” which was criticized in the EU and NATO.
