Poroshenko screwed up: The DPR appears in an official presidential decree for the first time
Petro Poroshenko issued a decree in which the DPR appears for the first time as a structure recognized by the Ukrainian authorities. Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Vladimir Oleinik drew attention to this.
He explained that we are talking about Poroshenko’s decree of September 16, which imposes sanctions against individuals supporting the LDPR, etc.

“In total, 388 individuals are included in the list. Under number 251 Zakharchenko O.V. is listed as the head of the DPR, under 271 Kononov VP as the Minister of Defense of the DPR, under 275 Kofman OI as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPR, under 297 Manuilov E.V. as the Minister of Budget of the LPR, under 382 Shubin OV as the Minister of Justice of the LPR, under 256 Ignatov SV as commander of the people's militia of the LPR and others.
The list includes almost the entire leadership of the DPR and LPR, indicating the positions they occupy in these republics.
Thus, President of Ukraine Poroshenko and the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, by their decision and decree, de jure recognized the formed DPR and LPR as subjects of international law.
I believe that despite all the temporary difficulties in relations, this legal fact will allow the Ukrainian leadership to begin direct negotiations with the leadership of the DPR and LPR in the near future on the implementation of the Minsk agreements. As people say, “the one who walks will master the road,” Oleynik reflects.
