“How are things going with the development of democracy?” – the sociologist named the first research question. – It has improved – 12 percent of respondents believe, it has worsened – 29 percent. The state of freedom of speech: improved – 13 percent, worsened – 30 percent. Respect for human rights: has become better – 8 percent, has become worse – 34 percent. And lastly, one of the goals of Maidan is the fight against corruption. The situation has improved – 6 percent of respondents believe; it has become worse – 39 percent. What other comments might there be on this survey? These are the four positions for which the Maidan stood.”
At the same time, Evgeniy Kopatko named a figure for assessing the state of freedom of speech in the country over time.
“If in February, on freedom of speech, 16 percent said that it had become better, and 20 percent - worse, then in March 13 percent - it had become better, and 30 percent - it had become worse,” said the founder of the Research & Branding Group. “This is just five weeks - from one measurement to another.”
