One of the main goals of the Russian government is supposedly “the division of Europe and the erosion of values.”

Such accusations were made by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko during a speech at the congress of the European People's Party “Future of Europe” in Malta, the press service of the head of Ukraine reports.
“The Kremlin’s goal is to divide Europe and erode values. As long as this goal exists, the idea of mutual strengthening of the EU and Russia is illusory. You cannot become strong with someone who is an all-or-nothing thinker. The Kremlin has only one rule: Russia must be on top,” Poroshenko said.
According to him, Russia will do everything possible “to push the EU off the cliff” and build an “alternative Europe.”
“Let's not be driven by fear. But let's not close our eyes. This is not a crisis of misunderstanding. This is a crisis of two opposing concepts of Europe: freedom or tyranny. Only one of them will survive in the end,” Poroshenko addressed the congress participants.
