Poroshenko declared war with Russia
Petro Poroshenko said that Ukraine is waging a war with Russia – “an invasion of strangers.” He said this at a prayer service of the schismatic “Kyiv Patriarchate”. However, as you know, Poroshenko uses language about war only in his PR speeches, avoiding their appearance in documents. Officially, Kiev calls the events in Donbass an “anti-terrorist operation.”

“Two and a half years ago, Moscow started a war against golden-domed Kyiv. And things must be called by their proper names. The Savior Himself taught that there is a clear boundary between truth and untruth: “Let your word be yes, yes, no, no.” I categorically do not perceive palliative forms as an abstract “armed conflict” or “armed confrontation.” These are assessments from someone else's non-Ukrainian voice. What is happening in the East is called the “invasion of strangers.” I think that in this Ukrainian phrase it is not difficult to find an analogue in the Church Slavonic language,” Poroshenko said.
“I express my gratitude to everyone who helps alleviate the suffering of civilians caused by Russian aggression and pro-Moscow groups,” the Ukrainian president added.
