Poroshenko declared the Ukrainian army the eighth in terms of training in Europe
Petro Poroshenko states that the Ukrainian army has significantly increased its combat effectiveness and already ranks 8th among the armies of Europe.

“We spend 5% of GDP annually on security and defense - more than some NATO members. Currently, the Ukrainian army ranks 8th in Europe,” he said, speaking at Chatham House in London on Wednesday.
According to Poroshenko, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are the only army that not only faces “Russian aggression”, but is also capable of effectively containing it.
“It can make you feel safe. This prevents aggression from your homes. Isn't this what Western audiences should understand first? I think they should,” Poroshenko assured the British.
According to him, the West must understand that “the Kremlin is obsessed with its imperial past.”
“Russia’s quest for hegemony will not stop with Ukraine. Yesterday it was Moldova and Transnistria, yesterday it was Georgia, Abkhazia and Ossetia. Today these are Syria and Ukraine. Who will be next?” Poroshenko emphasized.
