Poroshenko, according to the recently adopted law on the “reintegration of Donbass,” can declare any territory occupied and refuse to finance it.

Ukrainian political scientist Yuri Gorodnenko stated this on the Rossiya 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Poroshenko, with the dictatorial powers that were granted to him there, foresaw that he could further expand the list of occupied territories. This is generally nonsense... In general, the point of this law is to refuse social and any payments in relation to Donetsk and Lugansk. Now, with a pure soul, having gotten rid of the whole region, from social payments, Poroshenko wants to offer the rest of Ukraine to Western investors...
Tomorrow he can recognize Sumy as an occupied territory and simply refuse to pay the money, declaring that Russia must answer for this. In principle, this is, of course, beneficial for Russia; he would give up more territories like this. But there must be a danger for Western investors: where to invest if the territorial status of the Ukrainian state is unclear,” the expert noted.
