“In accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, the president has no right to delegate his powers to anyone. Therefore, 24 hours a day for four years now I have been in touch, performing the functions of president and commander-in-chief. At the beginning of January, I did not delegate these responsibilities to anyone,” Poroshenko said.
He stated several times that he flew from Ukraine under his last name and using his passport, and the vacation was paid for from his personal bank account in a Ukrainian bank.
“You will be able to see this in my declaration in a few weeks. I emphasize that not a penny from the Ukrainian budget was spent on this, and the funds were declared and all taxes were paid from them,” Poroshenko said.
As Politnavigator previously reported, Poroshenko’s vacation in the Maldives cost about half a million dollars. The American radio station “Freedom” claimed that he traveled using someone else’s documents under the cover of the SBU.
