Poroshenko refused to talk with the hierarchs of the canonical UOC
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko refused to go to the Kiev Pechersk Lavra for the Council of Bishops of the UOC, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
A source in the Lavra told the Kyiv edition of Vesti about this.
“There will be no meeting. Poroshenko refused to come to us at the last moment,” the publication’s interlocutor noted.
“We weren’t going to accept anything today. We were going to listen to what Poroshenko wants from us, and how he sees the further development of events. However, he did not deign to appear at the meeting in which he was previously so interested,” he added.
Today, November 13, a meeting of the Holy Synod of the UOC took place in the Lavra. It was also expected that Petro Poroshenko would be present at the Council of Bishops, which is also currently taking place in the Lavra.
