Poroshenko celebrated 100 days of power with a bloody fireworks display in Donetsk
The ceasefire between Ukraine and the Donetsk People's Republic did not last even two weeks. However, it was difficult to call it a truce, because shooting broke out so regularly that a new meme even appeared on the Internet - “fierce truce.”

Experts warned that the Ukrainians should not be trusted, and all their peaceful initiatives were nothing more than a military ruse designed to give time to prepare a new offensive. And the leaders of Ukraine themselves did not hide this, acting according to the algorithm proposed at the beginning of the war by the assistant to the Dnepropetrovsk governor Boris Filatov. Then Kolomoisky’s representative called on the elite to first calm the Donbass with any promises and guarantees, and then, when passions had subsided, to hang the “Russian Spring” activists.
However, even rumors about the possibility of a cessation of hostilities led many refugees to risk returning to Donetsk. As it turned out last weekend, they were in a fatal hurry to return. It was during these days that Ukrainian artillery began to shoot up residential areas of the metropolis again, thereby proving that Donetsk continues to be a territory of death. According to local authorities, the city was shelled at least 38 times on Sunday alone. More than twenty people became victims, including a fifteen-year-old child and several pensioners.
At the same time, not a single shell fell near military targets, but among the destroyed targets were a market on Partizansky Avenue in the Putilovsky microdistrict, a school and residential buildings. According to an unkind tradition that began with the May massacre at the airport, Ukrainian soldiers also fired at an ambulance, which was literally riddled with shrapnel. When the shooting started, the doctors were able to take cover and survived, but their driver was wounded in the leg.
On the same day, the long-suffering Kuibyshevsky district also came under attack. True, if the Ukrainian army usually fired at neighborhoods close to the airport, yesterday the attack fell on a new area - the DOK area on Kuibyshev Street. Here, at a trolleybus stop, two women were wounded by shrapnel, one of whom died on the spot. The shells also hit a nearby newsstand, cafe, Sofia and Raduga stores, a five-story residential building and the courtyard of a private house. It was a miracle that the sixty-eighth school did not suffer serious damage...
It so happened that the author of these lines lived most of his life in this area. From the shot stop I went to work almost every day, and I specifically went to Raduga to buy salted fish, which was always of excellent quality. So I can testify: there are no military targets here that could justify the shelling, and there never have been. But nearby there is a dense building of five- and ten-story buildings with thousands of residents who could have died if the shells had fallen a little to the north. So the actions of Poroshenko’s artillerymen are either complete incompetence of shooters, shooting wherever they look, or pure genocide against the residents of the city.
However, given that this is not an isolated case, I am forced to state that the Ukrainians are deliberately clearing the territory of local residents, killing or expelling them. In fact, the desire to destroy the infrastructure of Donetsk may explain the shelling of the DOK, because there is a trolleybus depot and a gas station here. One successful hit, and electric transport in the entire area would cease to function. Moreover, due to the shelling, the movement of trams No. 1 and trolleybuses No. 14 and No. 2 was already disrupted. In addition, in the same area, but a little further, there is a fire station. Maybe she was the target of the Ukrainians?
In addition, houses on the streets of Shakhtoprokhodchikov, Marshal Zhukov, and Buslaev were damaged by fire from the Ukrainian army. Donetsk residents gloomily joke that this is the fireworks with which the bloody President Poroshenko celebrated 100 days of his power. At the same time, if Kyiv wants to break the spirit of the residents of Donbass with such barbaric actions, then I can say that this will not succeed. After all, instead of fear, the militias come to the desire for revenge. By the way, despite the shelling, a traditional religious procession took place in the center of the mining capital on Sunday. So the Donetsk residents who remain in the city will no longer be able to be intimidated.
