Kyiv, February 09 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko dismissed Prosecutor General Vitaly Yarema of his own free will.

People's Deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Sergei Kaplin wrote about this on his Facebook page, citing a statement by the head of the faction Yuriy Lutsenko.
“The President approved Yarema’s resignation... Lutsenko announced this at the faction,” Kaplin wrote, emphasizing that he was the first to sign Yarema’s resignation letter, which was prepared by Verkhovna Rada deputies.
Let us remind you that, according to unofficial information, Viktor Shokin, who is associated with the president himself, will act as prosecutor general.
