Poroshenko “fires”: “We, like Prince Vladimir, are defending ourselves from the horde from the east”

This was stated by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during the celebration of the Day of the Baptism of Rus' on St. Michael's Square in company with the schismatic “Kyiv Patriarchate” Filaret.
“Today we are returning to Europe again, as to our home, and the fight in eastern Ukraine is a fight for Europe. And Princess Olga, and Vladimir, and Monomakh constantly defended themselves from the horde. The fight against Russian aggression is the defense of European values,” Poroshenko said.
Let us remember that Prince Vladimir ruled 250 years before the Mongol invasion of Rus' and therefore could not fight any “Horde”. So Poroshenko’s speechwriters set up their boss, presenting him as an uneducated person who does not know basic facts from the history of his country.
