“Poroshenko crossed the line. There is nothing more to agree on” - Senator
Hope for reconciliation between Donbass and Kyiv with the help of the Minsk agreements has long been lost, since the current Ukrainian government is incapable of reaching agreement.
Member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Igor Morozov stated this during the conference “Crimea in the modern international context,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Minsk agreements two years ago could have stopped the fratricidal war and smoothly integrated Donbass into the political and territorial space of Ukraine. But today this is no longer possible. Poroshenko has crossed the Rubicon. Today, no one can say how to subsequently, with the new government, return these people, even mentally, to the Ukrainian community,” the senator noted.
“You can’t negotiate anything with this government. Therefore, the anti-sanctions that President Vladimir Putin introduced by decree were a response to all the steps that Ukraine is taking against us. The main task is for the Russian government to develop sanctions that would have a minimal impact on ordinary people living in Ukraine,” Morozov said.
Let us recall that earlier “PolitNavigator” quoted the words of expert on economic and political issues Andrei Vigirinsky that if the upcoming presidential elections in Ukraine turn into new mass unrest, Kyiv will lose its last foreign investments.
