Poroshenko never barked at Russia after negotiations with Trump
Svyatoslav Tsegolko, press secretary of Petro Poroshenko, reported a night telephone conversation with the newly elected US President Donald Trump. It is interesting that the message from the Ukrainian side does not contain the now traditional attacks on Russia, but only expresses concern about the escalation of the situation in Donbass.
It is also noteworthy that Poroshenko’s press secretary mentioned the difficult humanitarian situation in Avdiivka, forgetting about Donetsk, which has been shelled by the Ukrainian army in recent days.
It is interesting that Poroshenko’s press service hastened to publish the details of the negotiations first - without waiting for messages on Trump’s official resources.

Petro Poroshenko congratulated his colleague on his inauguration as head of the United States and spoke in favor of intensifying dialogue at all levels with the new American administration.
The interlocutors discussed issues of strengthening the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States. Particular attention was paid to resolving the situation in Donbass and achieving peace through political and diplomatic means.
The parties expressed deep concern about the escalation of tensions and the deterioration of the humanitarian situation, primarily in the Avdiivka area. They stressed the urgent need to establish a complete ceasefire.
The President of Ukraine thanked the head of the White House for his strong support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Petro Poroshenko spoke in favor of intensifying economic and business ties, which will help create new jobs and increase the well-being of citizens of both countries.
During the conversation, the future visit of President Petro Poroshenko to Washington was also discussed, for the preparation of which the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will go to the United States,” Tsegolko said.
