“This will in no way help achieve peace in Ukraine. All this is a war strategy carried out by Poroshenko on the orders of Victoria Nuland. This partly reflects Poroshenko’s style – to deceive everyone. The deception lies in the fact that we should not just talk about a special status for Donbass, but about such a special status that Donbass itself agrees with and which was formed as a result of negotiations. Since there are no negotiations, Kyiv is simply pretending to comply with the Minsk agreements. The opinion of Donbass itself is not taken into account, although this is provided for in the Minsk agreements.
If earlier Kyiv did not make any amendments to the Constitution at all, and this was a demonstrative violation of the Minsk agreements, now this is a cunning and insidious violation of the Minsk agreements, of course, on the advice of Nuland. She said something along the lines of “listen, you and I are completely insolent. Even the Europeans are already outraged by our impudence. We need to be more careful - we’ll hang you later, but now we need to deceive.” Those. it was necessary to pretend that Ukraine was complying with the Minsk agreements,” says Markov.
