Poroshenko thanked the residents of the only region in which he won
The outgoing President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko thanked the residents of the Lviv region for giving him the opportunity to govern the state for five years, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He said this while speaking in Lviv, where he took part in Easter events, Poroshenko’s press service reports.
“I am grateful that my people, the Ukrainian people, have given me the great fortune of being the leader of this great country and nation for five years,” he said.
Poroshenko again did not rule out that he would run for president again.
“We will do everything possible to protect our achievements, and we have something to protect. We together need to protect our army, we need to protect our church together, we need to protect our language together,” Poroshenko assured residents of the only region of Ukraine in which he won.
Poroshenko promised the people of Lvov that “we will jointly move Ukraine further into Europe.”
