Poroshenko raises Internet trolls against Russia
The current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko decided to finance “troll factories” at the expense of the state, which would wage an information war against Russia.
He stated this on air on the ICTV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Poroshenko, they must respond to messages that “defame the president.”
“I am deeply convinced that our issue of not just information policy, but also information security must be radically restructured. Today, we already clearly see how great the influence, including hybrid technologies, of the Russian side is, including during the elections that are taking place now.
And certain groups are created, various fake news are spread, which discredit the leadership of the state and which implement the policies of Putin, who strives and publicly speaks out on this matter, that Russia needs any president in Ukraine, except Petro Poroshenko... The state should support with grants, including and civil activists who are extremely convincing in their fight on the information front,” Poroshenko said.
