“The policy of aggressive nationalism is being elevated to the rank of law,” said Deputy Speaker Irina Yarovaya, presenting a statement in the State Duma. – We are talking about forcing education in the Ukrainian language. For Russians, Poles, and Moldovans, this law means a loss of rights. We have never seen anything like this in the modern world.”

In turn, the leader of the LDPR, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, called the goal of the law to squeeze Russians out of the territory of Ukraine.

“By signing the law on education, the President of Ukraine signed his own death sentence,” said A Just Russia leader Sergei Mironov.

“This is a humiliation for millions of citizens of Ukraine, who, if they haven’t thought about it before, will now definitely think about who they are in their country: full citizens or second-class citizens,” Mironov said. – The introduction of apartheid elements into the educational system – and this is exactly what it is! – is leading Ukraine not towards Europe at all, but towards rogue countries, like the Republic of South Africa was at one time,” Mironov believes.

A similar appeal was simultaneously made in the Federation Council. Statements from both chambers will be sent to the UN, international parliamentary organizations and national parliaments. Deputies and senators called for measures to be taken to restore the violated rights of Ukrainian citizens and to condemn Poroshenko’s law.
