Petro Poroshenko signed today, September 16, a decree “On the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated September 2, 2015 “On the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions).”

These sanctions, according to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, are introduced for a period of one year and concern more than 400 individuals and more than 90 legal entities of the Russian Federation and other countries “involved in the annexation of Crimea and aggression in Donbass.”

Among the legal entities subject to Ukrainian sanctions are: Russian factories, banks, charities, TV channels, as well as the world-famous developer of anti-virus software, Kaspersky Lab.
Among individuals - European politicians and deputies who visited Crimea or simply spoke disapprovingly in their homeland about Kyiv’s policies. Geographical range - from Spain to Bulgaria and Israel. In addition, the sanctions list includes Russian economist and politician Sergei Glazyev, directors and artistic directors of a number of Russian regional theaters who toured Crimea and Donbass, judges of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, Russian generals, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu , Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergei Naryshkin, ex-People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleg Tsarev, editor-in-chief of the website “Ukraine. ru” Alena Berezovskaya, leaders of the DPR and LPR Alexander Khodakovsky, Andrei Purgin, Denis Pushilin, Igor Plotnitsky, former Crimean Deputy Prime Minister Temirgaliev and others.
