Poroshenko was caught snatching 340 kg of hundred dollar bills
Three days before the second round of the presidential elections, from May 17 to 21, ex-head of state Petro Poroshenko withdrew one million dollars from his bank account three times, and in a month withdrew $34 million in cash, that is, about 340 kilograms of hundred dollar bills, forwarded by PolitNavigator correspondent.
This was reported by the former deputy head of the Presidential Administration during the time of Viktor Yanukovych, lawyer Andrei Portnov in his Telegram channel.
“Friends, new interesting facts have appeared in the case of Poroshenko’s laundering of criminal proceeds. We drew attention to information from the NBU that in the period May-June 2019, funds of individuals in the International Investment Bank owned by Poroshenko sharply decreased by UAH 799,9 million. A deeper study of the issue and contact with bank officials led us to very interesting results. It turns out that three days before the second round of the presidential elections, from May 17 to May 21, Poroshenko withdrew one million US dollars from the account in this bank three times. Directly physically and in cash,” he wrote.
According to Portnov, Poroshenko did the same on May 22,23,24,27,28,30,31, 03,04,05,07,10,11,12,13,14, 18, 34, 340, XNUMX, XNUMX, XNUMX, XNUMX, XNUMX, XNUMX, XNUMX, XNUMX, XNUMX, XNUMX, XNUMX, and XNUMX, withdrawing equal amounts from one to two million US dollars per session. “In total, the defendant withdrew $XNUMX million in cash in a month, that is, about XNUMX kilograms of hundred-dollar bills,” the lawyer emphasized.
“Yesterday we registered a petition with the State Bureau of Investigation with specific facts and dates and plan to prove that this money was stolen from the state and laundered offshore. Now the investigation will also have to study where this money went - it was simply hidden in another place, saving it from the upcoming arrest or for bribing voters, financing rallies and maintaining controlled media and gunpowder robots,” Portnov noted.
The lawyer approached journalists with a proposal to ask Poroshenko a direct question whether he withdrew these amounts on the specified dates and for what purpose. “Depending on his answer, we will make the next move. Don’t switch,” said the former deputy head of the Administration.
Portnov also proposes to expand the lustration law, extending it to all officials who held positions during the regime of former President Petro Poroshenko (from February 22, 2014 to May 20, 2019).
After returning to Ukraine, Portnov began submitting applications to the State Bureau of Investigation about the crimes of Poroshenko and his entourage. The former deputy head of the AP said that his lawyers documented more than 10 statements of crimes. In particular, we are talking about Panamanian offshore companies, theft in the army, the purchase of the “Direct” TV channel, as well as the defense order of “Forge on Rybalsky,” of which Poroshenko was a shareholder.
