Petro Poroshenko received today in Kharkov a solemn opening ceremony of a memorial plaque in honor of the special forces “Jaguar”, which in 2014 carried out a force operation to clear out the Kharkov Regional State Administration, occupied by supporters of the Russian Spring.

It should be noted that Berkut employees are now being tried for similar actions in Kyiv, who also in 2014 tried to liberate administrative buildings illegally seized by Euromaidan supporters and clear illegally blocked passage along the central streets of the Ukrainian capital.

According to Poroshenko’s press service, the memorial plaque in Kharkov will remind of “the feat of the heroes who did not allow terrorists to create the so-called “Kharkiv People’s Republic.”
