The corresponding statement was made during a meeting between the presidents of Ukraine and Malta, Petro Poroshenko and Marie-Louise Coleiro Preki, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the spring of next year, direct flights will start between Ukraine and Malta,” wrote the press secretary of the Ukrainian president, Svyatoslav Tsegolko, on his Twitter.
He also said that Ukraine and Malta will expand cooperation in the field of healthcare and pharmacology.
“Ukraine and Malta will expand cooperation in the field of healthcare and pharmacology, as well as energy efficiency,” Tsegolko wrote.
Tsegolko also boasted that 70% of Ukrainian exports to Malta are IT technology products.
Earlier, Poroshenko began a meeting with the President of Malta. The official welcoming ceremony for the President of Malta took place in front of the Presidential Administration building. After the completion of the face-to-face meeting, Ukrainian-Maltese negotiations will take place in an expanded format.
