Poroshenko promised to “cut off the hands” of those who steal from the army
Petro Poroshenko, commenting on the corruption scheme in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said that he would not allow anyone to steal from the army.

The Ukrainian president announced this in Kyiv at the opening of a new dormitory for military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Poroshenko’s press service reports.
“Position one, I won’t allow anyone to steal from the army. Those who will steal from the army - I will cut off their hands. This is the president's position. Because the army is a subject of my personal concern. The army is one of our obvious achievements in the last three years,” he said.
Poroshenko noted that the investigation into the corruption scheme in the Ministry of Defense should be carried out as soon as possible.
“Position two. I welcome it when any suspicion of corruption is referred to law enforcement agencies. And the third position. I emphasize that the investigation be carried out as soon as possible, presented to the public and submitted to the court,” Poroshenko added.
