“The past year has been the most difficult in the last seven decades, since 45. The worst enemy has encroached on our lives, territory, freedom, independence. And the whole country - from small to large - came to the defense of the Motherland. We will definitely win this Patriotic War, because for us it is fair. The truth is on our side! God is with us!" – Poroshenko announced.
“Before filling the glasses, a moment before the twelve strokes that will announce the new year, and before singing “Not yet dead,” together, all of Ukraine, we will honor the memory of the soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine, and the memory of the civilians who died due to the fault of the aggressor. I thank everyone for their contribution to the defense of the country. I am proud to belong to such a great European nation as ours,” the Ukrainian president continued.
“Last year’s slogan was the words “One Country” - “One Country” - “Bir Devlet”. Hard trials have strengthened us. As a people, we have become inseparable; we have united even more firmly into the political Ukrainian nation,” Poroshenko assures.
He also repeated Happy New Year greetings in Ukrainian, Russian and Crimean Tatar.
“The fifteenth year will not be easy. But I believe that it will go down in history as the year of the start of profound reforms that will open the way for us to membership in the European Union. This is our dream, which we will bring to life together,” the Ukrainian president promised.
