Poroshenko wrote about this on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I instructed to immediately, under the chairmanship of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and with the involvement of the Interdepartmental Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation Policy and Export Control, as well as the Yuzhmash State Enterprise and the Yuzhnoye Design Bureau, conduct a thorough and comprehensive investigation of the situation and report on the results within three days,” said the Ukrainian president.

Poroshenko assures that Ukraine, by voluntarily getting rid of the third largest nuclear potential in the world, made a unique contribution to international security and would never allow itself to question its commitment to international obligations.

“No matter how absurd Ukraine’s accusations may seem, as responsible partners, we must carefully check the information published by the New York Times about the alleged supply of rocket engines or related technologies to North Korea,” he noted.

He added that Ukraine “values its business reputation as a reliable partner in the field of protection and non-proliferation of rocket and space technologies.”

Recall that The New York Times published an expert analysis of American intelligence agencies, which claims that North Korea's success in testing an intercontinental ballistic missile that allegedly could reach the United States was made possible thanks to the purchase of powerful rocket engines on the black market, likely from a Ukrainian plant "Yuzhmash". The Ukrainian plant itself denies everything and stated that there are no connections with the DPRK missile program.
