Poroshenko went for a direct declaration of war
The Ukrainian government promises interfaith peace in the country, but in reality it incites a religious war.
Pavel Rudyakov, head of the Perspektiva information and analytical center, said this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The expert noted that the appeal adopted by the Ukrainian parliament to Patriarch Bartholomew about permission for autocephaly for a certain unified Orthodox Church states that such a step will contribute to confessional peace.
“But when the president spoke at the Verkhovna Rada, it sounded like a direct declaration of war - he even screamed in one of the passages. This reminds me very much of 14, when he said that he would bring peace to Donbass. And now four years later he is fighting in Donbass and even officially declared war, replacing the ATO. What is happening now in the church sphere is also a promise of peace, which entails, God forbid, a religious war,” said the political scientist. “And the rhetoric heard in the session hall is the rhetoric of war.”
