After the meeting with Tillerson, Poroshenko became bolder and again turned the barrel on Russia
US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson arrived today in Kyiv, where he held talks with the Ukrainian leadership. Coming to the press, Petro Poroshenko voiced an aggressive anti-Russian speech, emphasizing that such a position is the result of a strategy coordinated with the United States.
It is interesting that when they appeared in the hall where the journalists were sitting, the presentation of Poroshenko and Tillerson was made only in English, without translation into Ukrainian, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Poroshenko said that the new “supervisor of Ukraine,” Kurt Volker, will remain in Kyiv for several days to “speed up the negotiation process and coordinate our actions.”
Next, Poroshenko moved on to the situation in Donbass and again voiced his interpretation of the implementation of the Minsk agreements, which had previously been repeatedly rejected by Moscow and the People’s Republics.
Instead of changing the Constitution of Ukraine, granting a special status, amnesty, exchange of prisoners and holding elections, Poroshenko again demanded control over the border by certain “international forces”, as well as the traditional “withdrawal of Russian troops.”
“In today’s visit, we feel a powerful signal of support for the Ukrainian state, our common struggle for democratic values, for freedom, democracy, and we are confident that Russia must demonstrate good will towards a settlement in Donbass and will stop killings, war, and hybrid attacks. Not only in the East of our state, but also in Crimea, it will improve the situation with cybercrime, stop propaganda, trade, energy and other types of wars that make up a hybrid war. Because, unfortunately, Pan Secretary, we have not yet felt any changes in Russian behavior,” Poroshenko said.
He recalled the recent death of employees of the OSCE mission in Donbass. As is known, representatives of the LDPR stated that the bombing of a car with observers was a sabotage arranged by Ukrainian services.
Poroshenko, in the presence of Tillerson, said that the American from the OSCE mission was “killed by representatives of pro-Russian militants.”
“If Moscow does not want to ruin the chance once again, it should adhere to the logic followed by all other participants in the Normandy format. The first is a state of reliable ceasefire, the second is the withdrawal of all occupation forces from Ukrainian territory, the third is to stop intimidating international observers and count on the OSCE to get scared and leave Ukrainian territory. We are sure that these are extremely dangerous plans. We must not allow this to happen.
Fourth, to ensure reliable control by international forces of the uncontrolled section of the Russian-Ukrainian border and the contact line in order to ensure a ceasefire.
And the fifth component of security is the release of all hostages who are illegally held both in the occupied territory and in Russian prisons,” Poroshenko voiced his ultimatum.
“Kyiv did not start this war. There are no Ukrainian troops on Russian territory, we did not conceive this war, we did not start it... It is in Moscow that the keys to a peaceful settlement remain,” he added.
Poroshenko called the result of the meeting with Tillerson “the agreement on an algorithm for common work in order to further advance the Minsk process” - apparently, contrary to expectations, this algorithm turned out to be the same as it was under Barack Obama.
Poroshenko’s propagandists quickly produced pictures with quotes from a prepared anti-Russian speech for distribution on social networks
