Poroshenko obediently ran to do Trump’s homework

“So, the Trump-Putin “Big Deal”, an element of which is the “restart” of the Minsk agreements, is progressing successfully. In New York, Poroshenko completed his first “homework” from Washington - he tearfully asked the UN to send peacekeepers to Donbass. This is an element of the US-Russian agreements on security in Donbass.
The time has come for the second “homework” - to launch the political part of the Minsk agreements. One of the main components is the extension of the Law on the Special Status of Donbass. This is the cornerstone of “Minsk”, which expired in October 2017. Therefore, Poroshenko received the task of extending the validity of the document,” the expert notes.
According to him, so that Poroshenko’s coalition partners from the Popular Front could not fail the vote, the US Embassy gave a clear signal that it welcomed the efforts of the deputies to extend the special status of Donbass.
“We translate from diplomatic language: Washington is not concerned about the behind-the-scenes BDSM games of Poroshenko and the Popular Front, since the law must be urgently adopted. Preferably by the time of the Volker-Surkov meeting, where further steps will be prescribed,” Korneychuk emphasizes.
