This was stated at a press conference in Kiev by a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of previous convocations, president of the public organization “Center for Research of Political Values” Oles Doniy, according to whom President Poroshenko is not a self-sufficient figure in geopolitical terms, and therefore he is forced to coordinate his policies with centers of influence , in particular, with the President of the Russian Federation.
“He has an agreement with Putin on a strategic partnership, which means conditional stabilization in Ukraine. Thanks to the fact that Putin at one time stopped provocations in eastern cities and the offensive in the Lugansk and Donetsk regions, presidential elections were held. It is obvious that Poroshenko is greatly afraid of Putin’s destabilization of the situation, and therefore is forced to play his games, in particular the Minsk process,” Doniy said.
“Thus, Poroshenko cannot afford to appoint people to positions in his immediate circle who will not be fully associated with the pro-Russian vector,” the expert concluded. – From the fact that Lozhkin allowed himself to very consciously make a nod towards Russia in his book, it is clear that this was an agreed upon moment with Poroshenko. This is one of the diplomatic signs that Poroshenko’s inner circle is ready to cooperate with Putin. This vector will remain unchanged.”
