Poroshenko was again summoned for questioning by the State Bureau of Investigation in the case of treason
The State Bureau of Investigation confirmed that they had summoned former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko again for questioning on July 25, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported in the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.
“(Poroshenko - Ed.) was again summoned for questioning on Thursday, July 25,” the press service said.
Earlier, lawyer Andrei Portnov reported that Poroshenko was again summoned for questioning by the State Bureau of Investigation, moving the date to July 25.
Portnov also reported that the Pechersky Court of Kyiv gave permission to conduct military examinations in the case of high treason and abuse of official position by Petro Poroshenko during the introduction of martial law with the aim of usurping power. In addition, as Portnov reported, “the court gave permission for investigators to access all codes and protocols that accompanied Poroshenko’s provocation against Ukrainian sailors, due to his actions in Russian captivity.”
The lawyer also said that he was waiting for the new Prosecutor General to submit a proposal to lift Poroshenko’s parliamentary immunity.
“The documents are ready, only his signature remains. We’ll have to put up with Poroshenko for a couple more months without a preventive measure,” added Portnov.
