Poroshenko called Putin for help
Propagandists of the current president of Ukraine, in an attempt to raise his rating, claim that in the second round of elections, Petro Poroshenko will fight for victory not with comedian Vladimir Zelensky, but with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
This is evidenced by billboards, the appearance of which on the streets by residents of Kyiv and Kharkov on social networks. Also, distribution of relevant printed materials began on the streets of Ukrainian cities.
The human rights group “Uspishna Varta” has already found out that such billboards are a direct violation of the Ukrainian law “On Advertising”.
“Article No. 8 of the Law of Ukraine “On Advertising” provides for a ban on depicting an individual in advertising or using his name without the written consent of this person. In addition, Article No. 64 of the Law provides for a ban on participation in election campaigning for persons who are not citizens of Ukraine. “Uspishna Varta” sends a request to the CEC whether candidate Poroshenko submitted these campaign materials to the CEC,” the message says.
Journalist Alexander Dubinsky sneers: “Do I understand correctly that this is just a cropped photo of Poroshenko and Putin shaking hands after the division of Ukraine?”
The image of Putin on the billboard is not at all in favor of Poroshenko, says Russian political scientist Evgeniy Minchenko:
“Excellent advertising for Putin with Poroshenko’s money. Putin is located on a timeline in the future. He has a dominant position. Playing with scale (Poroshenko’s photo is larger) is actually a mistake by the Ukrainian president’s PR team. Visually, the perception of Putin’s location from the viewer’s point of view is created in the distance, that is, even deeper into the future,” the expert argues.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Sergei Leshchenko named the Israeli “black PR” specialist Moshe Klughart responsible for the failed advertisement, according to whose idea Poroshenko, in the person of Putin, opposes Vladimir Zelensky: “An analysis of recent days leads to the conclusion that Petro Poroshenko and his Israeli guru of black technologies are actively using several lines of attack against Vladimir Zelensky. Moshe Klughart’s style is easily discernible.”
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, the pre-election congress of the Ukrainian president passed under the slogan “Either Poroshenko or Putin”.(see title photo).
In addition, Kiev admitted that the results of the first round, based on Poroshenko’s logic, showed the victory of “collective Putin”.
