This was stated by the mayor of Donetsk, Alexander Lukyanchenko, reports Municipal Newspaper.
“Yesterday, I, together with people’s deputy Boris Kolesnikov, met with the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in Kyiv. We said that due to the movement of most of the militias to Donetsk, it is impossible to use attack aircraft and artillery in military operations. It is impossible to evacuate the more than 900 thousand residents remaining in Donetsk, and there is nowhere to go,” Lukyanchenko said.
The mayor of Donetsk is also convinced that in these conditions it is necessary to ensure the safety of citizens through negotiations at all levels.
“The president made proposals and guarantees to hold the next round of negotiations in Svyatogorsk with the participation of Russia, representatives of the DPR and LPR,” Lukyanchenko said.
As Navigator reported, earlier DPR Prime Minister Alexander Borodai said that he did not exclude the possibility of dialogue with Kiev.
