Poroshenko grovels before American hawks
Hoping for support before the elections, Petro Poroshenko relied on the neoconservative elites of the United States. Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on air on the Topinform channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today all Ukrainian elites and Poroshenko are fighting for the right to be supported in the 2019 presidential and parliamentary elections. Any tools are used - visits, the activities of lobbying companies, the purchase of coal, American and European electric locomotives, helicopters, coming up with topics with the chancellors. Everything comes into play. The President also came up with the idea of finally renaming the streets after American generals and politicians. Perhaps then someone will support Poroshenko in 2019.
There is no need to waste time on trifles, it seems to me that we should have immediately renamed the presidential administration after McCain, or renamed the street on which our president lives. Why do we need that Soviet partisan and underground fighter Kudrya? What does he have to do with it? We must immediately look at the root.
Poroshenko is trying to rely on the hawkish neoconservative elites of the United States. And even in defiance of the current US President Trump, who has not had a very good relationship with McCain throughout his life, he is betting on these neoconservatives and hawks, hoping that they will support him,” said the political scientist.
