Ukrainian political consultant and publicist Dmitry Dzhangirov stated this in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta, according to whom the results of the upcoming elections will greatly delegitimize the current composition of the Verkhovna Rada.

“Because Batkivshchyna and the Opposition Bloc will probably gain weight, and it is doubtful that Samopomich, Petro Poroshenko Bloc and Lyashko will improve their positions,” explains the expert. – And this despite the fact that Yatsenyuk’s “People’s Front” as a real political force, in principle, ceases to exist, and its deputies are already looking for new parties for the future. In any case, the profile of public opinion now will be very different from the recorded sentiments a year ago in one important parameter - Ukrainians will clearly make it clear to the authorities that they want peace. This mood is in the air and is recorded by sociology. What can we say if even Kolomoisky, who is sensitive to the moment, invests himself in the “Renaissance” party, which are simply doves with an olive branch in their beak, judging by their program.”

The publication's interlocutor believes that the election results will provoke the collapse of the coalition and the dissolution of parliament, since the president has come to terms with the need to end the war.

“And here it doesn’t matter what he says publicly, what is more symptomatic is the pressure on nationalists and ultra-patriots supported by the authorities,” Dzhangirov emphasizes. “But under the current Rada, with all its people from the battalions and the Euromaidan, it will be difficult to secure peace and carry out constitutional reform taking into account the “special status.” And therefore he can combine the inevitable with the pleasant - satisfy Putin, Hollande, Merkel and even partly the United States, but at the same time get rid of the current coalition opposition represented by radicals in every sense of the word.”

The expert also points to Poroshenko’s business motives, arguing that it is “easier for the president to do business with the Opposition Bloc than with Lyashko and other hungry and greedy figures from the “new elite.”
